First step in setting up a child helpline, or building the capacity of an existing child helpline is to organise a meeting with all relevant stakeholders, from telecoms companies to child helplines, government departments and relevant NGOs. Gathers approx. 30/40 participants from different organisation – ministries, health etc. Opportunity to introduce child helplines and the steps to be taken to set one up / upscale an existing one.
